Return of Coffee Station Brings Limited Food Services Back to Capitol Building Harrisburg – As part of the plan to revitalize the dining experience for those working in and visiting the State Capitol Building, the Pennsylvania Department of General Services today announced the return of the Starbucks Coffee Station located in the Atrium outside of the Capitol Restaurant in the East Wing of the Main Capitol Building. Hours of operation will be from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. New vendor, C&J Catering will be providing limited food services at the coffee station such as: fresh, homemade “grab-and-go” deli sandwiches, bakery items, fresh salads, fruits, vegetables and gourmet cheeses. In addition, a full line of Starbucks beverage products, bottled water and soda will be available. While new, computerized point-of-sale equipment is installed over the next few days, coffee station patrons will not be able to use credit or debit cards to make purchases. C&J Catering was recently selected to operate the Capitol Restaurant and will introduce a number of new customer-focused products and services, including: call-ahead and online ordering; web-based promotions; live cooking demonstrations and recipes; and a concept called “Market Fridays,” which will allow customers the opportunity to shop for fresh, local produce. The Capitol Restaurant grand opening is expected to take place around Memorial Day.
